Hai guys...i have 10.2.0.1 database on my system(windows vista Home premium 64-BIT EDITION.. I want to install Informatica 8.6.1



i am a Oracle DBA, i wanna learn.. Informatica by installing on my system..

Could you please any one suggest me.. which version

(i.e 1. Informatica PowerCenter and PowerConnect Adapters 8.6.1 for Windows x86 (64-bit) or
2 .Informatica PowerCenter and PowerConnect Adapters 8.6.1 for Windows x86 (32-bit) or
3. Informatica PowerCenter and PowerConnect Adapters 8.6.1 for Windows Itanium (64-bit))

of Informatica 8.6.1 i need to download to install on my SYSTEM..... here i am displaying my system..configuration,

Hey, guys! Facing same problem here...Oracle is accessible with created users...PowerCenter tested the connection at instalation...tried changes at path and copies of pmora8...still nothing...anyone got new ideas?

i am in the middle of Informatica power center 8.6.1 server installation,
i am getting following error while i am trying to create repository
" The service did not start due to the following error: Unable to connect to the repository nan_repository( repository name which i gave) on database orcl..check log for more information"

when i opened log....

For me.. it looks like.. there is some problem to connect Oracle database on your machine.
Make sure that you are able to connect to oracle from SQL prompt using the same login credentials you used to create Informatica Repository.
pls update your result..

my database is working fine... i am able to connect different users which i created, even sqlprompt everything is working fine...
i could able to query in the database .... also...
i am searching for solution desperately,
please help me... if you know some thing about it,

Facing same problem here, with PowerCenter 8.1, W2k3, Oracle11g...Oracle and created users work fine...PowerCenter tested the connection at instalation...tried fixing path and copies of pmora...no succes...any new ideas?
